Festive huts, it is a unique event where we promote authenticity and the art of living “at home”: the 45 cabins typical and colorful of the oyster port open to the public, for one unmissable day in December.
More than 20 visitors come to taste oysters directly from the producer and white wine from Entre-Deux-Mers winegrowers: you can't find anything fresher or more local. Original recipes with maritime influences are offered by chefs from neighboring restaurants, while artists, painters and photographers exhibit their art.
Strolling along the quays, you come across cheerful bands and orchestras, with whom it is easy to sing traditional sea shanties or songs from the South West known to all. From the quays, we can admire the parade of traditional rigging and the “tacking” of pinasses (traditional Basin boats).
In the afternoon, under the large colorful marquee, great starred chefs introduce their audience to and taste cooking recipes paired with Entre-Deux-Mers wines.
And when night falls, everyone looks up to the stars to admire the fireworks, which closes this colorful and flavorful day.
